Since I see them all the time.These so-called "Space Medal" covers were made by German stamp and coin dealer Goede in the 80s I believe.
They only say that the medal "contains metal flown in spacecraft" but they don't say on which spacecraft!
Obviously in the 80s the MR-4 capsule was sleeping on the bottom of the ocean. Also there's a "Giotto-Halley" cover in that series which again would be "tough" to get flown metal from the Giotto spacecraft.
It is my personal opinion that none of these covers contain metal flown on the described flight or mission for obvious reasons. They may indeed include flown metal from a (to me unknown) spacecraft.
